No one is prepared 100%

I wasn’t prepared for my third child. Nothing can truly prepare you for 1, 2 or 3 (or more).

Each child is different.

Each experience as you welcome the next child into the world changes you.

Your perspective shifts because it has to.

You find new ways of being and living (including after the sleep deprivation).

I learned my way through reading books, podcasts, having a life coach, a therapist, and through trial and error.

And I’m still learning more and more about what works best for me and my family.

Aren’t we all?

As we continue to adjust, it’s important that we don’t give up on ourselves and that we don’t say goodbye to every part of us when we become mothers or have more than one child.

It’s a LOT of emotional, mental and physical energy, especially when you work and take care of littles.

We bid farewell to the way life used to be but we don’t have to say goodbye to who we are, what brings us joy, and what we need and want - independent of our children.

What do you need the most to feel like YOU and to feel joy in this season?

What will it take to make that happen?

This is my two year old who, luckily for me,
is the best sleeper in the house.

Someone was looking out for me when she came into the world, since the other two kiddos….well, we’re still working on their sleep😬

P.S. A new podcast episode just dropped where I share my 3 go-to clarity questions, if you’re feeling stuck, uncertain or if you’re at any kind of inflection point. It’s a shortie but goodie at 15 minutes🙌🏽
