Season 1 is DONE!

That’s a wrap on the first season of the Humble Rising podcast. 👏🏽 Starting a podcast was my sueñito (little dream).

I wanted to amplify the voices of women of color and Black women and Latinas in particular, and provide a space to share our stories and actionable strategies on how to have fulfilling careers and lives.

One of the greatest takeaways from the podcast for me is that we all have unique journeys. Our paths are not linear.

And we have more choices than we realize, and more power than we think to create the experiences we want to have.

We face challenges along the way — many related to internalized expectations of our parents, our community, and culture whether spoken or not, and fear of judgment, fear of being seen failing, fear of rejection, fear of not being good enough, and plenty of self-doubt.

We navigate all those obstacles, we make mistakes, but we have many triumphs and successes.

There’s something magical that happens when you really align who you are, what you believe and value with what you’re doing.

The women I’ve had on this podcast are all examples of that. I hope you’ve seen them as a circle of mentors and teachers.

To every person I was fortunate enough to interview on the podcast: thank you. From career and life coaches to lawyers, authors and professors, each of you taught us something new and different, and shared openly and honestly.
